Teak Products: Ensure to clean or rinse wood products immediately after use. Wash items in warm, soapy water and thoroughly rinse with clean water. Do not soak. To dry, prop up off of counter to allow all surfaces to air dry evenly. Wood products should never be washed in the dishwasher or used in the microwave. After drying, rejuvenate and protect the wood by rubbing it down with coconut oil. Apply the oil liberally and allow it to soak in thoroughly before use. Regular application of our coconut oil will prevent cracking and preserve the rich natural colors of the wood.

Brass Products: Brass naturally tarnishes over time. To maintain your brass products, we recommend treating your items with a specialised brass cleaning product/solution as required.
SHADE DEPOT
Beaded Chandeliers: Please allow 2-3 days for the beaded strands to naturally straighten. To clean the chandelier, dilute a mixture of Tea Tree & Clove Oil with water in a spray bottle and spray a small amount onto a microfibre cloth. Wipe over each bead strand gently and repeat 1-2 times. Do not spray the mixture directly onto the beads.
For Rattan, Seagrass & Hyacinths Products:
It is to be expected that some light shades will require re-shaping upon delivery due to the way they were packaged. Each light is safely packaged in its most compact form to reduce freight costs to you.
To straighten and/or tidy a wild fringe, gently mist the affected area with water and blow dry on a low heat. A hand-steamer is a suitable appliance for this task.
It is important that you thoroughly dry the product to prevent spoiling the item or creating an environment for mould to grow.
Any imperfection in the rattan or fringe would not be considered as a defect as these are natural, handcrafted products and the variations add to their character. Minor breakages and splitting in Rattan, Seagrass & Hyacinths is perfectly normal.
STEEL DISPOSITION
Mesh Pots: Like anything, paint can fade over time. Feel free to respray your mesh pots throughout their lifetime in the same colour they came in or in a different colour to change things up. Please keep in mind that once you re-paint an item, it is no longer returnable for any reason.

Hammocks & Hammock Chairs (Fabric): Everyone knows that black fabric left in the sun will fade. Our products are no different. If you want them to keep their gorgeous, deep black colour then we recommend placing them in an area that has a generous amount of shade throughout the day or packing them away when not in use for extended periods of time.

We recommend keeping your Mood Swings & Co. items dry and indoors until you contact your local hardware shop to find a sealant suitable for your climate and location.
